This Grade 2 listed detached house on a prime residential street had been used as church rooms and children’s nursery. The task was to transform the garden to a contemporary and formal setting befitting the high-end conversion back to residential. The garden was to serve the lower two floors of the four storey house and provide a good sized terrace for entertaining and sitting in the sun, increased privacy from the road, pleached trees, topiary and flowers for that classic yet modern English garden look.

I also included a large lawn leading to an attractive vegetable garden. Also needed was a separate entrance to the upper floor flats and a parking area. Liaising with the architects, planners, heritage consultant and arboriculturists a design was prepared as part of an approved planning application.
